Family Counseling AD 9
  • Identify patterns of codependency and the typical characteristics of adult children from dysfunctional families
  • Accurately assess, identify and analyze family problems/needs and implement appropriate interventions that demonstrate acknowledgement and support of client’s disability, gender, sexual orientation, developmental level, culture, ethnicity, age and health status
  • Verbalize various forms and consequences of child abuse
  • Explain and apply the use of the genogram as a family counseling and assessment tool

  • Students successfully completing AD 15A will be able to identify the role of the intern in the clinical facility.

Issues in Domestic Violence AD 4
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the laws affecting domestic violence in the U.S.
  • Recognize the social, political, economic, and cultural context within which domestic violence and substance abuse exist
