Student Learning Outcomes

• Students will identify and use architect’s and engineer’s scales to accurately measure and interpret dimensions on construction drawings.
• Students will identify and interpret the components of architectural plans and elevations, including symbols, dimensions, and annotations, and understand how the two views relate to one another.
• Students will identify and interpret the components of framing plans, including structural members, spacing, sizes, and notations, and understand how framing elements work together to support a building.
