Student Learning Outcomes

• Students will use AutoCAD to interpret topographic contours on a site plan and produce a cut and fill exhibit that identifies areas of excavation and fill.
• Students will use AutoCAD to produce a civil construction detail drawing of a retaining wall, applying appropriate drawing, annotation, and dimensioning tools to communicate construction information clearly and accurately.
• Students will use AutoCAD to construct contour drawings from survey data using both the control point and grid methods, interpolating elevations to accurately represent existing ground surface.
