Medical-Surgical Nursing: Circulation and Oxygenation NURS 8
  • Each student will demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of the appropriate nursing intervention associated to the corresponding rhythm strip.
Medical-Surgical Nursing: Integration/Regulation NURS 10
  • Each student will demonstrate a complete neurological assessment by week-4 of the course.
Medical-Surgical Nursing: Locomotion/Sensation/Integument/Oncology/Immunology NURS 3
  • Students will be able to complete a Head to Toe Assessment
  • Students will be able to administer an Intravenous Piggyback solution.
Medical-Surgical Nursing: Nutrition/Elimination/Surgical Asepsis NURS 7
  • Each student will successfully demonstrate insertion of an intravenous catheter.
Nursing Work Experience Program NURS 20
  • Each student will demonstrate safe and effective patient centered care, at their appropriate skill level in the program, while working as a Nurse Extern.
Pediatric Nursing NURS 6
  • Each student will be competent in administering medication, all routes except IV push, to the pediatric patient using the correct weight conversion.
Pharmacology NURS 2
  • Each student will demonstrate dosage calculations using the dimensional analysis method at 75% minimum.
Preceptorship in Nursing NURS 11
  • Students will successfully demonstrate high-quality patient centered care safely and accurately to include medication administration, head to toe assessment, and nursing interventions.
Psychiatric Nursing NURS 5
  • By week three of the course each student will complete a Full Psychiatric Assessment.
Role Transition NURS 70
  • Each student will successfully demonstrate a head to toe assessment by the fourth week
The Nursing Process I NURS 1A
  • Perform a systemic first-level physical assessment on a given client.
The Nursing Process II NURS 1B
  • 100% of N1B students will pass the N1B dosage calculation test by the end of the second attempt.
  • 100% of students will demonstrate advanced fundamental knowledge and skill by completing N1B theory with a grade of C or better.
