The IT Spotlight Award recognizes IT staff members who made a contribution to the IT Department or College Community and went ‘above and beyond’.

Raul serves as the primary technical support for the Student Services division, providing essential IT assistance to departments such as Counseling, Admissions and Records, Financial Aid, Access, and a number of equity-focused programs. His exceptional work behind the scenes ensures that these high-demand areas run smoothly and can continue to serve students effectively.

What sets Raul apart is his outstanding customer service and commitment to helping others. Despite supporting one of the largest and most dynamic functional areas on campus, Raul is known for being responsive, collaborative, and solution-oriented. He consistently goes above and beyond to ensure that staff and faculty have the technical tools and support they need to succeed.

Colleagues often remark on his calm and professional demeanor, even when faced with urgent or complex issues. One team member shared, “Although he is incredibly busy servicing a large functional area of Mt. SAC, Raul is always willing and ready to lend a hand when I need help.” His dedication to the campus community and his ability to navigate multiple priorities with efficiency and care make him a standout member of the IT team.
