The IT Spotlight Award recognizes IT staff members who made a contribution to the IT Department or College Community and went ‘above and beyond’.

IT is thrilled to recognize Israel Correa with the Spotlight Award for his outstanding contributions to the department. Israel is a rising star who began his Mt. SAC career as part of the Academic Support Team at the Learning Technology Center. In August 2023, he was promoted to Applications Training Specialist, a role in which he has significantly transformed technology training across our campus.

Israel introduced innovative ideas to the campus community, developed engaging content on Microsoft Teams to support daily work, and has served as an exemplary ambassador for the IT Department. His visionary approach led to reimagining the IT training website, integrating training as a seamless and essential aspect of employees' work routines. Through his efforts, Israel has inspired users to experiment and innovate, enhancing productivity and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
