The IT Spotlight Award recognizes IT staff members who made a contribution to the IT Department or College Community and went ‘above and beyond’.

Jeffrey George has gone above and beyond in developing the new Mt. SAC 2035 website! The Mt. SAC 2035 site is a cornerstone of the College’s equity-minded and healing-centered planning initiative, which is focused on shaping the future of student success over the next decade.

Jeffrey played a lead role in designing and building the site from the ground up, ensuring it was engaging and accessible to a wide range of users. The site includes a student feedback form, information about campus listening sessions, and resources that support transparent, inclusive planning. Jeffrey’s work has received enthusiastic praise from colleagues across the campus. One faculty member shared, “Wow! Great website, very comprehensive, and the design keeps me interested in the content!”  To bring this vision to life, Jeffrey demonstrated remarkable creativity and technical skill—writing custom code, designing new components on the fly, and ensuring that every aspect of the site supported a positive user experience. His thoughtful approach and dedication have helped create a platform that invites meaningful dialogue and participation from the entire Mt. SAC community.

Jeffrey is a highly valued member of the IT Web Team whose contributions enhance the College’s digital presence. He has implemented several innovative features on the College’s online map, including the ability to highlight essential services and clearly identify event parking locations. Through his technical expertise and attention to detail, Jeffrey consistently elevates the quality and functionality of the College website, making it a more effective and user-friendly resource for students, staff, and the broader community.
