Bulldozers demolished several row buildings this week as the college prepares to build a new three-story Student Center.

The Mt. SAC Early College Academy is heading into its second year boasting a 300% increase in enrollment and readying to welcome its first class of 10th graders, who just completed their first Mt. SAC college level course in marine biology over the summer.

The crew of the United States’ Apollo 11 became the first people in history to successfully land on the Moon on July 20, 1969. The monumental moment in history turns 50 this year, and the Randall Planetarium is celebrating on July 18.

Mt. SAC will become the first community college in the region to offer a certificate program in Big Data Analytics to meet the growing demand for individuals trained in analyzing all the data a company collects to find patterns, correlations and trends that help them make wise business decisions.

The Mt. SAC Forensics team recently won the 2019 Phi Rho Pi Speech and Debate Community College National Championship Title for the 9th time in school history.

Mt San Antonio College has been ranked No. 1 in the state and No. 7 in the new Real Work Matters study of the best vocational and trade colleges in the country for 2019-20. The 2019 study is based on government data from the U.S. Department of Education’s National Center for Education Statistics.

The Academic Support and Achievement Center will host an exam jam to help students get ready for finals week.

Nationally recognized equity and inclusion expert Dr. Sumun L. Pendakur will be the featured speaker at Mt. SAC’s 73rd commencement on June 16 at Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario.

Mt. SAC Registered Veterinary Technician students and two professors teamed up with State Senator Ling Ling Chang recently to provide free pet microchipping services as part of National Pet Month.
