General Education 2020-2021
The courses listed below will fulfill the lower division general education requirements for all CSU campuses.
California State University (CSU) Upper Division Transfer Requirements:
Students are eligible for upper division admission with completion of 60 CSU transferable units that include:
- A minimum of 30 lower division units of general education courses with grades of C- or better
- Courses from general education areas A1, A2, A3 and B4 with a grade of C- or better
- 2.0 CSU transferable GPA (This is the minimum GPA for consideration; many campuses/majors are competitive and may require a higher GPA for admission.)
Students must be in good standing at the last college or university attended.
CSU General Education Notes
- Courses on this list have been approved by the CSU Office of the Chancellor for Fall 2020 and beyond. If a course was completed prior to approval, it cannot be certified for CSU General Education Breadth requirements.
- Some majors require specific general education courses. Students planning to transfer are advised to plan their schedules carefully in order to maintain progress.
