Summer Transition Enrichment Program (STEP)

The STEP Program is designed for first time college students. This short program helps students prepare for success and make new friends at Mt. SAC. Students take a two-week Counseling 1 class and participate in three important workshops. For more information, please click on the inquiry link below.

As you know, COVID-19 has changed our lives, from how we interact and communicate to how we conduct our daily business.  As we are getting used to our new normal, we wanted to take a moment to update you on our plans for this year’s summer STEP program.

Will there be a summer STEP program? 
YES! All sections will be taught online.  We hope you are still excited to join us this summer as we are working hard to prepare a great experience for you.

        Apply for FAFSA/CA DREAM ACT:

        *(to cover cost of SUMMER 2020 Deadline 6/30/20 to submit Financial Aid application)

        Step 4: Take the Assessment Questionnaire (AQ) and Complete New Student Orientation

        • The assessment center also gives hands-on assistance in building 9B on the first floor.
          Complete the online orientation by doing the following:
        • Log into your student portal
        • Click on the "Student Success" tab
        • Under "New Student Registration Checklist," click on "Step One"
        • Click on "Complete Mandatory Online Orientation"
