I was born and raised in Puerto Rico. I moved to the United States in 1979. I attended Paramount High School and received a partial scholarship to San Jose State in wrestling. I enlisted in the US Army in September of 1987, after 2 years at San Jose State. I joined the Army to accomplish a 4 year tour and to further pursue an interest in a career in Law Enforcement. I left the Army in 1991 only to return to the Army in Jul 1994 until my retirement in Jun 2016. I served my country honorably and faithfully.

 I am now attending Mt. San Antonio College under my VA Benefits. I am back in school pursuing a career in Counseling which falls under Sociology. I’ve learned so much during my tenure in the US Army, I would like to give back to all VET’s that require any assistance in any area.

I served as a Light Wheel/ track mechanic. As I moved up the ranks and with time I achieved the rank of E8 Master Sargent serving as a Senior Maintenance/Logistics Supervisor. I served in many positions to include 1stSargent, and Acting Command Sergeants Major for a period of 3 years. I attended many schools in the military to include Battle Staff NCO Course.

My personal awards include Bronze Star, Combat Action Badge, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, National Defense Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, NCOES Professional Development Medal, Armed Forces Reserve Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal.
