At its annual organizational meeting on Dec. 13, the Mt. San Antonio College Board of Trustees elected Dr. Manuel Baca as president, Robert Hidalgo as vice president, and Jay Chen as clerk. They will serve one-year terms, effective immediately.

A Statement from the Chief of Police and Campus Safety on Establishing a Full-Service Police Department
Mt. San Antonio College is in the process of establishing its own full-service police department as directed by the Board of Trustees.
The Mt. SAC Theater Program will stage its 10th annual production of student shows, “Sights Unseen,” on Thursday through Saturday, Dec. 7-9, at 8 p.m., with a special Sunday matinee, Dec. 10, at 2 p.m., in Mt. SAC’s Studio Theater.
For only the second time in the college’s history, both the men’s and women’s cross country teams have concurrently captured the California Community College State Championship. The last time this happened was in 1989.
Five Mt. SAC Honors students were invited to present research projects at the Southern California Conference for Undergraduate Research (SCCUR) held Nov. 18 at Cal Poly Pomona.
Mt. SAC Vocational English as a Second Language (VESL) student Luisa Patino recently won the California Association of Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages (CATESOL) statewide essay writing contest.
