Mt. SAC Professor of Counseling - Veterans

I entered the United States Navy after graduating high school in 1996. My military occupation was Aviation Ordnance for the Navy F/A-18 Hornet aircraft and I was attached to Strike Fighter Squadron VFA-146 – The Blue Diamonds, stationed in Lemoore, CA. I went on one West Pacific deployment aboard USS Stennis and one World deployment aboard the USS Nimitz. I have visited many countries and assisted in the enforcing of the No Fly Zone.

In December of 2000, I received an honorable discharge and started attending community college while working full-time in a warehouse. I completed my degree at the community college level and transferred to Cal State San Bernardino where I majored in Sociology. After finishing my bachelor degree, I went for a Master Degree in Counseling at the University of Redlands. I have worked as a Counselor now for about 10 years at a few different colleges, mostly working with student-Veterans.
