San Antonio College Library supports student success through knowledgeable and effective instruction and service to students, faculty, and staff by educating them to use appropriate resources and technologies for teaching and learning and by providing access to a comprehensive collection that supports the College’s curricula and that serves the needs of our diverse college community.

Academic Support and Achievement Center (ASAC)

We are here to help you succeed at Mt. SAC. We have college prep classes in math, writing, and reading, as well as Study Skills classes which will help you do well in your courses (and in life). The free tutoring at the ASAC will help you keep your good grade, or help you improve your grade in a class. Our computer lab has computers (Mac and PC), printers, and scanners, as well as tutors and computer technicians. If you need to make up a test you missed in class, or take a test for an online course, you can use our Testing Services area. Stop by and visit in person!

Faculty Center for Learning Technology (FCLT)

The Faculty Center for Learning Technology supports all Mt. SAC faculty in their use of education technology for all course types: traditional, hybrid, and fully online.  We are here to help you learn more about cool ways you can save time, simplify administrative tasks, engage students, and gain new digital tools for your teaching toolkit:

• Offer training and support on our campus learning management system Canvas
• Offer paths on getting certified for teaching online at Mt. SAC
• Offer information and training in education technology
• Promote best practices and innovation for technology use in the classroom
• Offer feedback and support in regards to federal regulations related to teaching with technology such as accessibility

Distance Learning - Staff and Faculty Resources

Distance Learning (DL) is the official designation for online classes. DL courses must meet specific college, state, and federal requirements. The most important DL regulation is "regular and effective contact" with enrolled students. At Mt. SAC, faculty must qualify to teach DL courses through our certification process. Courses are submitted for approval through the Distance Learning Committee (DLC). These courses also have their own evaluation process. You will find the resources you need here!
