Outreach Resources
The Mt. SAC Financial Aid Outreach Unit works with the campus and local communities to bring information about financial aid to students and their families. Our expert staff provide support to help make the financial aid process clear and easy to understand. By developing collaborative relationships with Mt. SAC staff and faculty, local K-12 schools, and community organizations, we hope to raise awareness about the Federal and State financial aid resources to help make education beyond high school attainable.

Working in higher education for 8+ years, I deeply value and cherish opportunities to assist students on their college journey. In particular, I enjoy helping students better understand how they can connect with available financial aid resources. Paying for college and applying for financial aid can be intimidating and an overwhelming experience. I try to make the process simple and more approachable. Outside of work you can find me obsessing over coffee extraction, roasting coffee beans, and enjoying time with family and friends.

I have been working in financial aid for 10+ years. Graduated and started my first full-time financial aid role at UC Santa Cruz. Last year, I obtained my master’s degree from CSU Long Beach while working there full-time. In 2021, I began my journey at Mt. SAC. As a first-generation student, I chose this path to empower students and their families. My goal is to minimize barriers in higher education to help students reach their academic/career goals.

I have been in education for 7+ years. I am a first generation student who currently holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from CSULA and a Master’s degree in Higher Education from CSUN. Being a Mt. SAC alumni and financial aid recipient, I understand the importance and the impact financial aid has on a student’s educational trajectory. In my role here in the financial aid office I hope to break down barriers and close equity gaps to better support our students.
