- Who needs to report unlawful discrimination?
- Employees that have the authority to address unlawful discrimination;
- Employees that have been given the duty to report unlawful discrimination; OR
- Employees that a student may reasonably believe to have the authority or duty to address or report a violation.
- Here is how you can help:
If someone tells you that they have experienced unlawful discrimination, here is how you can help :
- If someone tells you that they or someone they know has experienced unlawful discrimination, offer support and encourage them to seek help as soon as possible.
- Provide the person who experienced unlawful discrimination with the link to the Human Resources Unlawful Discrimination web page.
- Health and Safety are the primary concerns:
- If safety is at risk, call Police & Campus Safety at (909) 274-4555.
- If health is at risk call 9-1-1 or call Student Health Services at (909) 274-4400

If someone tells you that they have experienced unlawful discrimination, here is what you can say:
- “There are many resources available on campus and in the community to help you take care of your physical and emotional well-being.”
- “I can connect you to medical emergency services for medical support, some of which are free of charge.”
- “I can connect you to a confidential resource.”

- EASE (Employees only)
- “I can connect you with the Director of EEO Programs who can talk to you about resources, reporting options, and interim measures of campus support.”
- “You have the right to understand all available options and make an informed decision.”
- “I cannot keep this information confidential. I need to forward this information to someone who can help you and respond. That person will give you information and options to help you going forward.”
