Production #3 (February 22nd-April 14th)

by Geraldine Inoa, directed by Jozben Barrett

Forest Winthrop, a 19-year-old unarmed black man, is shot and killed by a white police officer. In the months and years that follow, his loved ones struggle to cope in the aftermath of his death and to find a way to move on amidst their anger and grief.

(admission by audition only - to audition, click HERE)

Auditions: Tuesday, February 22nd

Rehearsals: February 23rd - April 14th, 7-10pm

Performances: April 15th-17th

Students cast following a successful audition for THTR 15 (cast list will be posted by Wednesday, February 23rd - Stage Management will also notify the cast) will be working directly with Prof. Barrett as a performer to rehearse and eventually perform in our April 2021 production of Scraps.

Students interested in auditioning will prepare a one-minute memorized monologue (contemporary), then fill out the form at this link, then come to the Studio Theater (building 2T, rm 130) on the Mt. SAC campus on Tuesday, February 22nd at 7pm.  Stage management will then check in auditioning students, give an audition slot, then inform students when it is their turn.  If a student absolutely cannot make the audition date, they can instead submit an audition video of no more than 90 seconds of their monologue, which can be submitted through the audition form link.  All audition videos must be received no later than midnight on February 22nd.  Students may also “cold read” from any contemporary monologue of their choosing, but we recommend preparing a monologue so we can assess your ability with memorized text.
