Police and Campus Safety Survey - Extended Through April 30, 2025
April 18, 2025 - 10:30 AM
Dear Mt. SAC Community,
Thank you to everyone who attended the Campus Forum on April 9, whether in person or online. Your participation is vital, and we appreciate the thoughtful and passionate discussions that took place. We recognize that campus safety is a deeply personal issue that affects how we live, learn, and work together as a community.
As part of our ongoing commitment to ensuring a safe campus, Mt. SAC Police and Campus Safety have proposed increasing the number of sworn officers and equipping them with additional tools for protection, such as body-worn cameras, tasers, and police rifles. We understand that these proposals bring forward strong emotions and important concerns, and we want to emphasize that no final decisions have been made.
We are committed to listening and gathering feedback from all members of our community. Your voice matters in this process. To ensure that we hear from as many individuals as possible, we invite you to complete a brief survey, which has now been extended through Wednesday, April 30, 2025. The survey should take no more than 10 minutes to complete, and your responses will be anonymous.
This is an ongoing conversation, and we are dedicated to creating spaces where difficult topics can be discussed with mutual respect and understanding. Details of a student-led forum will be shared soon.
Your feedback will play a critical role as we continue to move forward—together. Thank you for your continued engagement and for caring about the future of our campus community.
