Course Materials Adoptions - Deadlines for Summer 2026 and beyond!

As a reminder, please review and submit your course material adoptions to the SacBookRac (Mt. SAC Bookstore). Timely submissions ensure that students have access to the necessary materials when registration opens, supporting both affordability and compliance initiatives.

How to Submit Your Adoptions
To access the textbook adoption tool, Follett Discover, log into the Mt. SAC portal (https://www.mtsac.edu/portal/), go to the Faculty Tab, look for the "Bookstore (Faculty)" card, and click “Adopt Books.” If you have any questions or would like a training, don't hesitate to reach out to Gabby Gonzales, Course Materials Market Manager at 2324txt@follett.com.

Submitting course material adoptions by the deadlines helps the bookstore:
- Comply with the Higher Education Opportunity Act (HEOA) by posting required course materials when registration opens
- Provide affordable options for students by securing used and rental inventory, ensuring materials are available on the first day of class
- Maximize buyback value for students during end-of-term buyback events, keeping affordable books circulating locally
- Support accessibility needs by ensuring students requiring accommodations receive materials in the format they need in a timely manner
- Expand rental options by giving the bookstore sufficient time to research requested materials for inclusion in the national rental network, potentially lowering costs even further
