Welcome Spring 2026!

Mt. SAC Library is open 7 days a week and 24/7 online with fun and convenient ways to connect and get help. We have silent study and group collaborative spaces, FREE library resources, useful research services, people who can help you, and technology to check out. We invite you to find yourself, your community, and your next great idea at the Mt. SAC Library! We are in Bldg. 6 (northside).

From Shelf to Screen: March Madness Tournament of Books

Which book-to-screen adaptation is the best? Black Panther or DuneThe Lord of the Rings or Jurassic Park? The Shining or It? Pride and Prejudice or Crazy Rich Asians? Vote each week as titles face off in a bracket-style tournament. Your votes decide the winner! Voting begins 3/1. Ongoing in March. In the Library (Bldg. 6).

Open Education Week: Join us March 9th - 13th

Open Education Week is all about community, connection, and a shared commitment to accessible learning – and we want you to be part of it! We’re excited to celebrate a full week of events designed for students, faculty, and staff with coffee and donut giveaways and much more! You’ll also find lawn signs around campus, a special activity in the Library, and daily highlights on our Instagram (@MtSACLibrary). We hope to see you there! Silent Reading Hour

Ever want to read with others and not have the commitment of a book club discussion? Join us for as long as you like in the quietude of the library. Bring your own book, grab one off the shelf, or ask us for a suggestion! Thursday, 3/19, 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm. In the Library (Bldg. 6) Room 6-222.

Movie and Chill

Celebrate Women’s History Month and relax while watching Joan Baez: I Am A Noise – a film about the legendary Latina musician and activist at the end of a 60-year career. Reflecting on her upbringing, civil rights work with MLK, and a heartbreaking romance with a young Bob Dylan, Baez tells her truths in this official documentary. Stop by for part or all the screening. Snacks will be provided (while they last).  Thursday, 3/26 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm. In the Library (Bldg. 6) Room 6-222.

Library @ the Farmer’s Market

Find us at the Farmer’s Market this Spring semester! On select dates TBA, check the library calendar for times and location soon. Come to our outreach table and find your next great read or library resource to boost your learning and college experience. Pop-up Library

Connect Mt. SAC Library to your goals & get research help fast. We offer librarian support at our two pop-up locations: In front of Bldg. 9B most Tuesdays and near the Bldg. 26 clocktower most Wednesdays. See you at Pop-up Library!
