Spring 2026 Printmaking Classes at Mt. SAC
No art experience? No problem! Printmaking lets you transform drawings, designs, or ideas into editioned prints to share with friends, family – or even sell. These printmaking classes are open to all majors and invite you to get hands-on with carving, inking and pulling prints. Build craftsmanship, creativity, and visual storytelling through studio projects, demos, and group critiques. Discover the magic of multiples and make something to be proud of!
SPRING COURSES:
ARTD43- INTRO TO PRINTMAKING
CRN: 40407
MW 11:30-2:50pm
This introductory course explores the art of printmaking with an emphasis of relief and intaglio methods. Students learn how to design, carve, ink, and print images while building craftsmanship, vocabulary, and critical thinking.
Through studio work, demonstrations, and group critique, students examine printmaking’s history, cultural significance, and contemporary uses.
Field trips may be required.

ARTDAA - LITHOGRAPHY
CRN: 40411
MW 3-6:20pm Love drawing? Try Lithography—where drawings become multiple original prints. Creative techniques in planographic printmaking using lithography. Emphasis is on skill development, vocabulary expansion, and critical analysis of aesthetics, historical context, and craftsmanship through projects, discussion, and oral and written criticism.
Field trips may be required.
