If I were standing in front of the child version of me and tell her all the things that we've accomplished, she wouldn't believe it or probably won't believe that we're the same person. I've gone through many challenges in my life such as self-doubt, low self-esteem, and struggles with my education and receiving this award is a reflection of all my hard work. Thank you for believing in me and thank you that you saw something in me to receive this scholarship I really can't thank you enough. What makes me even more happy is the look that is going to be on my parents faces when I tell them the news so they'll know that all their sacrifices were worth it. I was given a huge leap to getting closer to my goal which is to be part of the film industry. I am majoring in Film, Television, and Entertainment at Mt.SAC with the dream of becoming a screenwriter, actress, artist, and filmmaker because storytelling is my passion. I also can't wait to tell my students the news that I won a scholarship so they'll be given the motivation needed to continue forward. I plan to share the struggles and hardships that come when trying to achieve your goals and how anything is really possible.
