Respiratory Therapy Articulation Agreements


Mt. SAC has articulation agreements with the following colleges and their Respiratory Therapy Programs. 

    • University of Kansas

      The Respiratory Therapy Degree Advancement program provides graduates of entry into respiratory care professional practice degree programs with additional knowledge, skills, and attributes in leadership, management, education, research, or advanced clinical practice both to meet their current professional goals and to prepare them for practice as advanced degree respiratory therapist.  Their Respiratory Care Dual Enrollment option for students enrolled in an associate degree respiratory care program at a community college allows students to  simultaneously take classes at Mt. SAC while also completing up to three KU courses online.

    • Southern Illinois University

      Health Care Management Program
      The Health Care Management (HCM) program prepares students for careers in health management and/or health policy. The program of study may lead to a career in a healthcare organization, government agency, or graduate study in areas such as health administration, health informatics, epidemiology, business, or law. 

      Master of Health Administration (MHA) Program
      The Master of Health Administration (MHA) program is designed for individuals who have successfully completed an undergraduate program of study in an associated field to allied health, healthcare management, business, or a closely related / equivalent field. The online MHA program is specifically tailored to meet the needs of those who are place bound, or who hold full-employment that prevents them from completing a master’s degree via traditional methods.

    • Loma Linda University

      The Post-Professional Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Care program seeks to graduate individuals with advanced knowledge and skills in the respiratory care profession including assessment, therapeutic interventions, and management of patients with cardiopulmonary related disorders. This one-year full-time program combines classroom learning with advanced specialty clinical experiences to achieve this goal.

The following program is designed for students with an Associate’s Degree in Respiratory Therapy from Mt. SAC to easily transfer into.

    • Skyline College

      The Respiratory Care Bachelor's Degree offers students a greater ability to advance to management and leadership roles within the profession, to become advanced caregivers, to conduct health related research, and to become educators in the field. Increasingly, Respiratory Care Practitioners are taking on responsibilities, formerly conducted by physicians, requiring a greater level of critical thinking and analytical skills.
