Rene Pyle

Rene graduated from Cal State Fullerton in 1990 with a Master's degree in Applied Mathematics, and began teaching at Mt. SAC as an Adjunct Math professor soon thereafter.  In the Fall of 2000, Rene was hired as the Lab Technician for the soon-to-open Math Activities Resource Center (MARC).  In the Spring of 2009, she became the Lab Technician for the Transfer MARC.

I am so excited that you have decided to take Elementary Statistics ! Your success is important to me, so to help prepare you for the next part of your educational journey, I would like to share some information with you about my courses and classroom environments.

    • Math 110 Spring 2023

      Online Class Search:
      ** This class will display a Building/Room number and a Meeting Time in the online class search, to indicate an in-person, on-campus class.


      Prerequisites: None


      Class Structure:
      My class will be conducted on-campus, in a traditional classroom setting. All exams will be in the form of on-Campus traditional exams.


      Access to the textbook , MATH 110/110H: Elementary Statistics, 14th Ed., by Triola, is strongly recommended. Free access to StatDisk is also required. Homework assignments will be in the form of computer projects and worksheets, and will generally be due on Tuesdays and Thursdays.


      Required Materials:

      Writing Utensils

      Paper (Printer or Lined) (Strongly Recommended)

      Graphing Calculator

      Desktop/Laptop/Tablet/Smartphone

      Scanner or Free Scanning App (Strongly Recommended)
