Adam E. Fuentes – 2017 ESSRG

I am currently in my senior year at the University of California, Davis studying Ecological Management and Restoration. Last summer I was hired to assist in data collection of conifer populations following wildfires in the Sierra Nevada. This summer I will be working on research related to forest management and fire disturbance in the sierras. Both opportunities required previous field research experience. Interviewers were particularly interested in my own research at the Salton Sea under the mentorship of Dr. David Mrofka--an opportunity granted to me by the ESSRG and Mt. San Antonio College.
