Calculator Loan Program

The Calculator Loan Program provides active  A²MEND and Umoja students enrolled in a math course with access to calculators for classroom use. Students may borrow a TI-84 Plus CE Graphing Calculator or a TI-30XIIS Scientific Calculator from the Center for Black Culture & Student Success (CBCSS) during operating hours: Monday–Thursday from 8:00 AM–5:00 PM and Friday from 8:00 AM–4:30 PM.  Calculators are available on a first-come, first-served basis and intended for same-day use only; calculators must be returned to the CBCSS before closing on the day they are borrowed. Students in need of a calculator for home use should review the additional resourced provided below.
 
How to Borrow

      Students must complete (or have on file) a CBCSS Calculator Loan Agreement Form each semester before borrowing a calculator. The form confirms your eligibility and outlines the terms and responsibilities of the loan program.

      Step 2: Pick Up Your Loaner Calculator (ID Required)

      Once your form is completed, visit the CBCSS during checkout hours to pick up your calculator. A valid student or government issued ID is required at the time of checkout. Eligible students may borrow either a TI-84 Plus CE Graphing Calculator or a TI-30XIIS Scientific Calculator based on their course needs.

      All calculators must be returned to the CBCSS on the same day they are borrowed. Please ensure that all items issued with the calculator, including the case and charging cord for TI-84 Plus CE calculators, are returned at checkout.

TI-84 Plus CE Graphing Calculator
  • TI-84 Plus CE Graphing Calculators are only available to students who are officially enrolled (not waitlisted) in an eligible math course (i.e., STAT C1000, STAT C1000H, MATH 130,  MATH 150, MATH 160, etc.)  that requires a graphing calculator.
  • TI-84 Plus CE Graphing Calculators are checked out with a protective case and charging cord, which must be returned with the calculator.
