Program Review
Welcome to Mt. San Antonio College’s Program Review Webpage!
Purpose
Program Review at Mt. San Antonio College is a systematic and cyclical process used to evaluate institutional effectiveness, the use of resources, and progress toward fulfilling the College’s mission and goals. Through this process, every unit at Mt. SAC assesses how well it is achieving its stated goals, meeting the needs of the populations it serves, and aligning its work with institutional priorities. By engaging all employees in this reflective process, program review fosters campus-wide collaboration, integrates planning and resource allocation, and drives continuous improvement that leads to measurable gains in program effectiveness and student success.
New Program Review Process
The program review process is replacing the old PIE process. Program review is now
a three-year cycle, with the first year being a comprehensive review and goal setting.
Years two and three are updates to goals and resources. Program review will emphasize
data review, analysis and reflection, leading to measurable program improvement and
student success. Program analysis will be the basis for identifying resources needs.
Our first three year cycle begins with Comprehensive review in 2025-26. This year
you will be reviewing data and setting three year goals. In 2026-27 and 2027-28 you
will be providing updates to goals and resources.
