Chun Wong

I am a software entrepreneur-turned-educator. I founded a healthcare IT company that makes Infectious Disease software used by hospitals throughout the US. I am passionate about sharing my software and business experiences with students interested in pursuing a similar career path. I have a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Computer Science from UCLA, and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from UCLA. I look forward to meeting you all!


Hello Mountie Computer Science Students!


I am so excited that you have decided to take Fundamentals of Computer Science ! Your success is important to me, so to help prepare you for the next part of your educational journey, I would like to share some information with you about my courses and classroom environments.

    • CSCI 110 Spring 2025

      Online Class Search:
      ** This class will display a Building/Room number and a Meeting Time in the online class search, to indicate an in-person, on-campus class.


      Prerequisites: Math 71 or Math 71B or Equivalent


      Class Structure:
      My class will be conducted on-campus, in a traditional classroom setting. All exams will be in the form of on-Campus traditional exams.


      A physical or digital copy of the textbook , CSCI 110: Starting Out with Programming Logic and Design, 6th Ed., by Gaddis AND C++/Java/Python Language Companion?, is required. Access to Visual Studio (Free) is required. Homework assignments will be in the form of computer projects and will generally be due on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.


      Required Materials:

      Reliable Internet Connection (Strongly Recommended)

      Desktop/Laptop/Tablet/Smartphone

Our classroom environment will be one that supports your diverse perspectives and honors your identities. Names are very personal and very powerful. The name by which we choose to be called represents who we are. I recognize that calling students by their preferred name is crucial to ensuring that the classroom environment (whether in person or online) is a safe and inclusive space for learning. Please make sure to log in to your Canvas courses daily to keep up with all announcements, materials, and due dates. Canvas can be accessed through your Mt. SAC portal or at https://mtsac.instructure.com.
