Find Yourself at Mt. SAC Library this Fall Semester!
Mt. SAC Library is open 7 days a week and 24/7 online. We have silent study and group collaborative spaces, FREE library resources, useful research services, people who can help you, and technology to check out. We invite you to find yourself, your community, and your next great idea at the Mt. SAC Library! We are in bldg. 6-North.
Here are a few library services to know about this fall:
- Drop-in Workshops help students sharpen research methods.
- 24/7 Chat with a librarian service can help answer quick questions.
- 30-min Research Appointments for in-depth support online or on campus.
- Library Hours
- Monday – Thursday, 7:30 am - 9 pm
- Friday, 7:30 am - 4:30pm
- Saturday, 9 am - 4 pm
- Sunday, 1 pm - 9 pm
September and Ongoing Events
Banned Books Bracket
Participate in our annual voting contest as we highlight the perils of censorship for the upcoming 2025 Banned Books Week (October 5-11). More info to come! Mid-September through 10/11.
Fall Library Crawl
Find five locations scattered throughout the library or at library events and win a prize! 9/16 Tuesday 11am – 1pm. Ongoing in Fall.
Libraries For Peace
Join the library in observation of International Day of Peace with the world community. From local to international crises, stop by our activity table to reflect on how we can become peacemakers in our own communities and around the world. 9/22 – 9/28.
Pop-up Libraries
Get Librarian support outside of the library at our two pop-up locations. We'll be at Miracle Mile on Tuesday afternoons and Building 6-south lawn on Thursday late mornings. Connect Mt. SAC Library to your goals & get research help fast. Check the library calendar for exact times and location (poor weather may cancel). See you at Pop-up Library!
Then & Now Photo Contest
Open to all students, faculty, staff, managers, and community members. Browse the online archive & find a photo that interests you. Take a photo of the same location or recreate a theme or moment from the original image. Submit your photo for a chance to be featured in the online archive by participants will be entered into a raffle to win one of five $20 Habit gift cards. Contest ends 11/30.
