Accessibility Support Services

As you prepare for your event in partnership with POD, the following items will provide guidance as you determine the needs for your presentation.
Pay careful attention to the timeline as multiple action items will be time sensitive. Your POD liaison will provide guidance throughout the process.
In accordance with college policies and procedures, all convenings must consider the needs of differently abled participants.
Interpreters are available for both large and small seminars/trainings/convenings/conferences.

Requesting ASL Interpreters

  • Timeline: 3 weeks in advance of the event date

Large campus events (100+ participants)

  • The college program, committee and/or individual who is proposing a campus-wide and/or community-based event will need to request ASL Interpreters

Smaller campus events (<100 participants)

  • Individuals will need to arrange for interpreters based on their campus community status:
    • For individual employees: Request an interpreter via Human Resources’ Accommodations office here
    • For students: Request an interpreter via the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing office by following this link
