Transfer Season has Kicked Off With Many Upcoming Events

Transfer applications to four-year colleges and universities are now open, and the Transfer Center started it all with a Kickoff event on Miracle Mile.

“Everything is moving toward the Cal State/UC application deadline of November 30,” said Mt. SAC’s Transfer Center Director Josh Loudon. “Before then, we have several ways for students to engage to make sure they get those applications in.”

Tents dotted Miracle Mile from student services, which helps students through the transfer process, as well as booths for specific types of colleges, including private colleges and Historically Black Colleges or Universities.

Although Cal Poly Pomona was the only four-year present at this event, many more are expected for this weekend’s Parenting Student & Family Transfer Fair, and more than 70 four-year schools are scheduled to be at October’s Transfer Fair.

Oct. 21 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Miracle Mile (in front of Student Center)

 

The Transfer Center is located on the second floor of Bldg. 9B.
