Along Temple Ave., an impressive 10-bay Transit Center will open and replace four Foothill Transit bus stops. The eastbound Temple Ave/Mt. SAC Way stop already closed earlier this week. The other three will close in conjunction with the opening of the Transit Center on Thursday, July 10.
Students and the public normally using these stops will catch their buses at the new Transit Center instead.
The map below indicates the closed bus stops with red X’s and the large blue star showing the location of the new Transit Center. The green check marks show the bus stops on the west side of campus that will remain open.
The following bus stops will close permanently effective Sunday, Jul 9, 2023:
- Temple Ave. & Mt. SAC Way - closed effective June 12, 2023 (Stop ID #2551)
- Temple Ave. & Bonita Dr. (Stop ID#2536)
- Temple Ave. & Bonita Dr. (Stop ID #2537)
- Temple Ave. & Mt. SAC Way (Stop ID #576)
The Transit Center was built anticipating the continued growth of students using public transportation.
The Center is located beneath the pedestrian-crossing bridge that spans over Temple Ave. from the Gateway Parking Structure.
