Mt. SAC to Mark 75th Commencement with In-Person Ceremony

Mt. San Antonio College is planning to host an in-person Commencement celebration
on Friday, June 11, 2021. The 75th graduating class will be the first to walk in the newly rebuilt Hilmer Lodge Stadium.
The college will strictly follow public health orders in organizing the celebration.
While the COVID-19 pandemic is constantly evolving, event organizers anticipate the
ceremony can safely allow for graduates and limited guest tickets. Should the pandemic limit in-person events, a drive-thru Commencement
celebration will be provided.
"Graduation is one of the most important, memorable days for students. Our team is doing everything in its power to provide students the best experience that we can safely provide,” said Dr. Bill Scroggins, president and CEO of Mt. SAC. “These graduates overcame countless challenges on-line, at home and on the job to achieve this milestone. We’re excited to recognize their significant achievements with this celebration in our new stadium."
Students who wish to participate in Commencement must complete the Application for Graduation by May 7. Gowns and other regalia can be purchased online from Herff Jones through May 9. Additional details about how to pre-register for the event and how
to access limited guest tickets will be provided later.

COMMENCEMENT INFORMATION
Mt. SAC conducts one Commencement ceremony a year, at the end of the Spring semester. Fall, Winter and Spring graduates are encouraged to attend the ceremony, along with prospective graduates from Summer 2021.
HILMER LODGE STADIUM INFORMATION
The new 10,739-seat stadium (public health guidelines will limit the capacity at Commencement) has been designed as a state-of-the-art venue for football, as well as track and field. The new facility features a nine-lane, 400-meter track, a natural turf infield, a new press box, and a giant 85’ x 37’ LED screen.

75th ANNIVERSARY
Since opening on September 15, 1946, Mt. San Antonio College has helped 1.5 million alumni reach their goals. This Spring, the Class of 2021 will become the 75thgraduating class of the college. Mt. SAC will celebrate its 75th birthday this fall. Plans for public celebrations will be released at a later time.
