Career Fair Wednesday to Offer Hundreds of Options for Future
October 14, 2019 - 02:28 PM
A group of 58 employers, representing hundreds of career pathways, will descend upon Mt. SAC this Wednesday. October 16 from 10 a.m to 1 p.m. Most students will have a hard time missing the booths between buildings 4 (Administration) and 61 (Math & Science), as it is the main thoroughfare into campus from Mt. SAC Way.
Every Fall and Spring semester, Career Services offers a career fair with employers who are looking to hire Mt. SAC students and alumni.
“These are employers who have posted on the Mountie CareerSource,” explained Career Center Coordinator Zelda Bolden, referring to the Mt. SAC job board for employers to recruit students. “We know they want the skills and knowledge being taught in our programs.”
The companies will have professionals ready to talk with students about future careers. For students that are ready work, Bolden said some employers have been known to hire right on the spot.
“Students looking for work should dress appropriately and come prepared with a current resume,” said Bolden.
The Career and Transfer Center offers free resume workshops and resume assistance to help students prepare.
