Accreditation Reaffirmed to 2031

Mt. San Antonio College has received official confirmation that its accreditation will continue through 2031, following the successful completion of a comprehensive institutional review.
Accreditation is granted by the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges
(ACCJC), which
evaluates colleges on academic quality, institutional effectiveness, governance,
financial stability, and student support services. Continued accredited status ensures
that Mt. SAC remains eligible for federal financial aid and that students’ coursework
and degrees are fully recognized for transfer and employment.
As part of the review process, the College completed an extensive institutional self-evaluation and hosted a peer review team visit. In addition, the Commission conducted a Follow-Up Visit focused on Regular and Substantive Interaction (RSI) in distance education. Together, these reviews examined how Mt. SAC plans, evaluates, and improves its programs and services to support student learning, instructional quality, and student success across all modalities.
“This outcome reflects years of collective effort, campus-wide coordination, and a deep commitment to our students and continuous improvement,” said Dr. Kelly Fowler, Vice President of Instruction. “Our faculty played a critical leadership role in strengthening regular and substantive interaction in our online courses, engaging deeply in professional learning and aligning practices to ensure meaningful student engagement. Reaffirmation is not the work of a single person or group; it is the result of campus-wide collaboration, shared accountability, teamwork, and care demonstrated across our campus community.”
