Students work at the Mountie MakerSpaceFor those who like to make ‘things’, they should plan on attending Mt. SAC’s MakerSpace Fall Open House this Friday, September 6th  from 5pm to 7pm. Held at the Mountie MakerSpace at Building F7 on campus , the event is free and open to all students and the public.

All sorts of things can be constructed at the MakerSpace, and the numerous pieces of equipment used to build those things will be toured. The MakerSpace has more than 20 types of equipment to use:  everything from 3D printers to a Plasma Cutter to a CNC Mill.    

Attendees will get to make themselves a button before they leave.

Students may use the Mountie MakerSpace as a benefit of their normal Mt. SAC fees and tuition. Faculty and staffStudents work at the Mountie MakerSpace may also sign up for free. Community members must sign up through Community Education before becoming a Mountie MakerSpace member.
