Mt. SAC Student Health Services and Project Sister will present a self-defense class as part of Sexual Assault Awareness Month on Tuesday, Apr. 10, 2 - 4 p.m., in the Student Life Center, 9C.

Mt. SAC celebrated Women's History Month with the 14th annual Inspiring Women luncheon on Mar. 27.

The Phi Theta Kappa honors society is conducting a survey to gather data on homeless students at Mt. SAC.

President Bill Scroggins is the recent recipient of the Atta Bear award, which was given to him by the VOICES Committee for his ongoing support of employee recognition.

Mt. SAC will offer a variety of late start credit classes for the spring semester with most classes beginning Monday, Apr. 23.

The campus will be closed in observation of Presidents' Day on Friday, Feb. 16 (Lincoln's birthday) and Monday, Feb. 19, (Washington's birthday). Mt. SAC's spring semester begins Monday, Feb. 26.

Mt. SAC recently bought the 48th District Agricultural Association building (F10) for $420,000.

Mt. SAC will host the 3rd Annual High School Honor Band concert, Band-o-rama, on Saturday, Feb. 10, at 7:30 p.m., in the Clarke Theater.

Mt. SAC computer facilities coordinator Bill Rawlings was recently appointed to the California Community Colleges Board of Governors by Gov. Jerry Brown.
