Scholarship Opportunities

Here are some scholarship opportunities for horticulture students.  You can't get free money if you don't apply!!!  Applying is easier than you might think!

Horticulture Scholarships from Outside Organizations

These are scholarships from organizations outside of Mt. SAC, but they are specifically for horticulture students.  These scholarships are open to Mt. SAC students as well as students from other colleges.  Apply for all that you might be eligible for!

• Street Tree Seminar Scholarship - $250 - $1,500; due November 1, 2025.
• National Horticulture Foundation – Various scholarships, Due January 15

Mt. SAC General Scholarships

These scholarship opportunities are for all Mt. SAC students, and may not be specific to horticulture.  New opportunities are posted regularly.

• Mt. SAC Scholarships - Most Mt. SAC Scholarships are available in Spring, but others come up throughout the year.  It is worth checking!

Conference/Training Scholarships

These scholarships offer opportunities for students to attend conferences or trainings that are horticulture related.  

• California Native Plant Landscaper Certification (CNPLC) training - These scholarships are available to a limited number of students to provide the opportunity attend this 20 hour training program this winter and spring.  Application deadline is January 5.
