• • How can I get credit for a Mt. SAC course if I took a similar course at another college?
    Fill out a variance form that can be obtained from the Division Office and have it signed by the Department Chair and Division Dean.
  • What do I do if a course I need to complete my degree is not offered the semester I want to graduate?
    Students can meet with the Department Chair and ask if you can take another course in place of the one that is not offered.
  • How do I get a Mt. SAC certificate once I have completed the certificate requirements?
    Students must fill out the application for certificate form and submit it to the Admissions and Records Office.  Students can also apply directly through the portal under number 45.
  • If a class is full and I want to add the class, what do I do?
    Students wishing to add a full class may list their name on the waitlist for the course.  Once added to the waitlist, students should check their email frequently, as the system will allow only a limited amount of time to add when offering a spot.  Students who cannot get on the waitlist should attend the first day of class and ask the instructor if they have room to add.  For online courses, send an email to the professor instead of attending the first day.
  • If I want to complain about a teacher, what do I do?
    Contact the Department Chair of that instructor and arrange a meeting.
  • How can I get more information or guidance?
    Contact department staff.
