Jo Anne Bermejo, BSN, RN Registered Nurse Student Health Services She/Her/Hers
Get to Know Me
Hi, I’m Jo Anne Bermejo, one of the registered nurses at the Student Health Center. I am a proud graduate of Mt. SAC’s ADN Program over three decades ago. The foundation of my nursing career began in the medical-surgical, telemetry, and intensive care units of the hospital. During that time, I earned my BSN degree at CSU Dominguez Hills and transitioned from acute care to college health. I was hired as Mt. SAC’s first full-time classified registered nurse almost 30 years ago and have been serving our students and college community ever since. Concurrently, I worked in Urgent Care and in Mt. SAC’s Health Careers Resource Center, teaching and testing students on critical clinical skills. I feel humbly blessed to work in an environment that combines my passion for caring, support, and empathy, and in which our team has endless opportunities to provide compassionate healthcare and comprehensive health education. I warmly invite and encourage our Mountie students to stop by our Health Center to meet our team and find out more about all the services available to them! -

Hello there! My name is Chris, and I am a Registered Nurse at the Student Health Center here at Mt. SAC. I graduated with my nursing degree in 2009 and have worked in several departments as a nurse, with the most experience in the Emergency Room (ER) setting. I have now been part of the Mt. SAC team for the last 7 ½ years, and I consider this one of the best things that has ever happened to me and my career. It is such a pleasure to serve and assist the students in so many different situations here on campus. I have a deep interest in nutrition and the health of our bodies, so reading takes up a lot of my free time. A quirky fun fact about me is that I used to be a truck driver prior to becoming an RN. That proves that our thoughts can create our reality. Hope to see you around campus or at the Student Health Center.
