Hello, my name is Seqouia Salas; I am Paiute and Chamorro. I am currently the Inaugural Director of the First Peoples Native Center here at Mt. Sac. I enjoy working in the Native Community throughout Southern California, including advocacy, wellness, and providing culturally grounded programming.

I am a first generation college student who earned a master’s degree in Criminal Justice from Arizona State University and a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from California State University, Dominguez Hills.  I began my college journey at Grossmont College in El Cajon, California, where I earned associate degrees in Sociology and Administration of Justice.

I am thrilled to be the Inaugural Director of First Peoples Native Center and create a space where native people can be supported through their education and be able to empower future generations to follow.
