Augmented & Virtual Reality

The goal of the Virtual Reality Designer Certificate is to provide students with entry level skills for a career in the art and design aspects of Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR).

The program covers the gamut of skills needed by a designer or artist including: 3D modeling, animation, game engine skills, designing of interactive experiences, production planning, working in collaborative teams, and familiarity with current VR and AR technologies. The program is taught through a series of hands-on projects that require students to exhibit creativity and practice interactive game industry processes and techniques. This certificate may aid students in the search for an entry-level position as a VR Designer, VR Artist, VR/AR Developer, or VR Technical Artist.
