  Distribution Management Association (DMA) is the premier trade association in Southern California dedicated to the logistics and supply chain professional. The mission of DMA is to facilitate involvement, partnerships, professional development and connections for its members and the community. The Southern California Distribution Management Association is actively engaged in promoting education through scholarships by investing in students throughout the region who are developing their careers in logistics. The Distribution Management Association (DMA) has donated $500 per semester to award a student who excels in the Supply Chain Management. Stay tuned for more information and updates.

About the Speakers

Danny Chung

Currently an MBA graduate student with a dual concentration in cybersecurity and supply chain at California State University, San Bernardino, Danny has a strong interest in supply chain, logistics and transportation. He also has a vested interest in the Inland Empire and is currently an advisor to the board of directors at the Distribution Management Association (DMA) of Southern California.

Dr. Yuanie He

Dr. He received his Ph.D. in Operations from Weatherhead School of Management, Case Western Reserve University in 2005. He also received Master degree in System Engineering from Tianjin University in 2000. His main teaching interests are supply chain management related areas. His research areas are supply chain risk management and sustainable supply chain management. His work has appeared in journals such as Organization Science, European Journal of Operational Research, and International Journal of Production Economics.

Gabe Covarrubias

Gabe is an experienced Regional Distribution Leader. He is currently the Distribution Area Manager for The Home Depot. He is responsible for Operations in California and Nevada. Gabe is skilled in Supply Chain Optimization, Lean Operations, Reverse Logistics, Six Sigma, 3PL Operations, and Transportation Management. He leads with strong business acumen.
