As a nationally-ranked community college, Mt. SAC offers students the full college experience without the full college debt. After taking 3 classes with experienced faculty, students will be prepared for entry-level employment within Bookkeeping.
Prepare for a career in Bookkeeping at Mt. San Antonio College, an accredited community college ranked No. 1 in the state and No. 7 in the country among the Best Vocational and Trade Colleges by Real Work Magazine. The Bookkeeping Certificate is 11 units (3 courses). The courses provide basic accounting skills and knowledge, preparing the student for entry-level positions and/or professional advancement in a wide selection of accounting jobs. Great Career Prospects
Students who complete the coursework are well prepared for entry-level employment opportunities in accounting such as bookkeeping, accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory tracing/reporting, bank reconciliation, expense reporting, and account analysis. According to U.S. Department of Labor data, the median salary of bookkeeping, accounting, and auditing clerks is $47,000 a year. There are 21,500 projected new jobs in that field each year in California. Students who go on to earn an associate degree better position themselves for positions and promotions in accounting.
