Tutoring Center: Academic Support & Achievement (ASAC)

The Academic Support and Achievement Center (ASAC) provides free in-person and online tutoring support to all current Mt. SAC students (credit or non-credit). ASAC offers drop-in and one-on-one tutoring services for a wide range of subjects. Appointments are also available for Writing, Math, and Science courses. Tutoring Center: Speech and Sign Success Center (SSSC)

The Speech & Sign Success Center (SSSC) supports students in Speech (SPCH) and Sign Language and Interpreting (SIGN) courses, providing both in-person and online tutoring services. The SSSC offers tutoring, workshops, video rooms, free note cards, Directed Learning Activities (DLA), computer and printing access, study spaces, 24/7 online CANVAS resources, and flexible scheduling to support student success. Tutors assist with speech preparation, delivery skills, and ASL vocabulary, conversational skills and test preparation. While drop-ins are welcome, scheduling an appointment via Navigate or phone is highly recommended.

Tutoring Center: Tech Ed Resource Center (TERC)

The Tech Ed Resource Center (TERC) offers tutoring in Career Education programs such as Aviation, Electronics, Respiratory Therapy, and other specialty subjects. In addition to subject-specific help, the TERC provides guidance with Math, General Writing, and Study Skills. Laptops, textbooks, and other specialized equipment (such as microscopes, electronics equipment, etc.) are available for student usage. Students can drop in anytime to work with tutors, study independently, or collaborate in groups. No appointments are necessary for tutoring or meeting with an academic counselor. Tutoring sessions occur in-person on a drop-in basis, no appointments necessary. Sessions can be conducted one-on-one or in groups.

The WIN Program provides tutoring for many general education and major courses. The WIN offers free in-person and online tutoring support to all current Mt. SAC students (credit or non-credit). Tutoring Center: Writing Center

The Mt. SAC Writing Center offers flexible tutoring options – whether you prefer in-person, online, or asynchronous support – with a focus on strengthening your skills in writing, critical reading, and academic analysis across all disciplines. Our team of highly trained peer tutors, graduate students, and faculty writing specialists provides personalized guidance through one-on-one sessions, small groups, asynchronous paper drop-offs, and workshops. Looking to refine your citations, grammar, or writing strategies? We also provide citation guides, grammar software, handouts, and DLAs on grammar, formatting, writing strategies, and discipline-specific materials to strengthen academic skills. Working on a resume, cover letter, scholarship essay, or personal statement? We’re here to guide you through the process!
