Mt. SAC now offers free Online Tutoring services through NetTutor, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to all currently enrolled students when classes are in session! Get help in major subjects such as Math, English, Science, Social Science, Writing, and more!

NetTutorWhat is NetTutor

NetTutor® is a comprehensive online tutoring service for all college courses. Your school has made this service available to you to assist you with homework and studying. All of our tutors are fully trained experts in the courses for which they tutor. NetTutor is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to all currently enrolled students when classes are in session!

How to access NetTutor

NetTutor offers free online tutoring during nights, weekends, and holidays when Mt. SAC’s Tutoring Centers & Academic Support Programs are closed. While we encourage using on-campus and online support at Mt. SAC, NetTutor provides an alternative option for students seeking tutoring outside of regular hours.

  • Login Instructions
    1. Log into your Mt. SAC Canvas account.

    2. Click your course on the dashboard.

    3. Click the "NetTutor" link in the left-hand navigation menu (you must allow pop-ups).

    4. Once at the PISCES Academic Support Student Hub:
      • Join a Live Tutorial
      • Submit a question to the Q&A Center
      • Submit a paper to the Paper Center



    Don't see the NetTutor link in your Canvas course?
      • Check for the link in another course.
      • Email your instructors to let them know you'd like to use NetTutor and ask if they can enable NetTutor in their course navigation menu.

How to use NetTutor

Check out the following videos to learn how to navigate the different aspects of NetTutor. Learn how to work with a tutor and find out how to use NetTutor's Paper Center, where you can upload a writing assignment from any of your classes and have it reviewed by an actual tutor within 24-48 hours.

    Tutors will not do your work for you or give answers. They are there to help guide you along in the process and help you better understand the subject so that you can do the work yourself. Important tip: Before you access NetTutor, prepare to work by having your course materials (textbook, notes, and any work you have started) ready to use.
