Fatima Flores-Ortiz

Hello! My name is Fatima Flores-Ortiz, and I am running for Inter-Club Council co-chair along with Leonardo. This is currently my first year at Mt Sac and I am a Baking and Pastry Arts major. I graduated from Garey High School in Pomona. While In high school, I didn’t play any sports but I was in JROTC and in band. These two experiences helped me in becoming a better leader and team player. Additionally, being a junior volunteer for Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center helped me gain new skills that help me in everyday life and communication. These experiences helped me realize I wanted to be involved in the programs and clubs. During fall semester I joined the pride center and was hoping to attend the meetings but because of my schedule I was never able to be involved as much as I wanted to. This caused my interest in clubs and other programs on campus to grow. I believe that clubs and other student programs should be more known to students. In the last few months I only ever heard about the pride center. I hope to bring more attention to clubs and help them with what they need to benefit students and create fun experiences for them. I believe I am a great leader and am always open to constructive criticism and by running for ICC co-chair I am hoping to make a positive difference in the lives of students. I do hope you will consider voting for me as ICC co-chair!
