Supplemental Instruction (SI) Program

SI is an academic support program designed for traditionally difficult courses. Via SI Leaders, our program aims to reduce the numbers of students who drop an assigned course as well as increase the students' academic performance in the course.

    • What is an SI Leader?
SI Leaders (or SIs) are peer, group-learning facilitators assigned to specific courses. They are paid to attend class with the students, meet with the professor, plan interactive study sessions, and lead these sessions outside of class time. If you love helping people and want to work on campus - Click on "SI Applicants" below to apply as an SI Leader.
    • Who can attend SI sessions?
SI is for ALL students in an assigned course. The interactive format of SI sessions empowers all students to ask questions, contribute ideas, and find answers together - leading to a deeper understanding of the course material and allowing all students in the course to benefit from attending sessions. Moreover, SI sessions are FUN and FREE!
