In a first-of-its-kind event, Weltklasse Zurich held the ultimate social distancing Track & Field competition with competitors from seven locations throughout the world competing against each other simultaneously in a live broadcast on the NBC Sports Network. This video and the photos that follow show what happened at the Walnut, CA location at Mt. SAC's brand new, and never-before-used, Hilmer Lodge Stadium.
Allyson and teammates Tianna Bartoletta (two-time Olympic gold medalist ) and Candace Hill win the women’s 3x100 relay.
Felix also took the win at the 150m
It was not former Olympic and world champion pole vaulter Katerina Stefanidi's day or event with three failures at clearing the opening height.
Georganne Moline won the 300m hurdles
Omar Craddock took 3rd in the Men's Triple Jump
And a shout out needs to go to Mt. SAC's brand new Hilmer Lodge Stadium. This was
the first-ever event at the new facility, which has been closed due to COVID-19. Here,
Katerina Stefanidi pole vaults breaking in the stadium with world champions in a global
broadcast.
