Hispanic Outlook in Higher Ed Ranks Mt. SAC in Top Ten

San Antonio College will be featured as one of the nation’s Top 25 Community Colleges for Hispanics in the current issue of The Hispanic Outlook in Higher Education Magazine. Published on Feb. 22nd, the magazine's top 100 issue features Top 25 lists to chart the national progress of Hispanics in higher education, which shows significant growth with every passing year. Mt. SAC ranked in the top ten in the following categories:

  • # 8 - “Top 25 Community Colleges Granting the Most AA Degrees to Hispanics” -
  • # 6 – “Top 25 Community Colleges Enrolling the Largest Number of Hispanics” –

 

The magazine also noted Mt. SAC as  a Top STEM School for Hispanics and top school for various majors, including in Legal Assistant/Paralegal  Degree and Parks Recreation Leisure and Fitness Studies Degrees.

In communicating the rankings, the magazine said they compile the lists based on data and statistics”from the Department of Education’s National Center for Education Statistics (NCES)
